This is a very roomy boat for its length due to the wide cat bows and deep hull.
The boat is actually 4.8m with the pod boxes, while beam is a generous two metres.
Naturally, the cat shape is the key to this design. The slim sponsons cut the water easily, and in combination with the wide tunnel provide a cushioned ride in choppy water.
The four-point shape also conveys great stability and literally means you can have three big Rugby forwards standing on one side without danger of flipping the cat. This level of stability is naturally good news for family boaties, or keen fishermen.
The standard of Aluminium strength is quite high in these small cats, not the least in the bottom area where you find heavy 3.5mm sheets. The topsides feature 2mm sheets and this is backed by a lot of internal framing and internal keels. Meanwhile, small chine lips and an external rubbing keel protect the bottom of the sponsons.
The sealed floor does mean you can hose the boat out at home. You keep the bungs in while under way, but once the boat is unloaded it can self-drain via the bungs.
The 70mm of internal freeboard gives you knee-high support when fishing. Also the rear lounge provides a natural kneepad if you are fishing out the back.
An opening centre hatch also means you can fish through the front end of the boat, or reach the anchor well easily.
The road-towing story is also pretty easy. Boat with trailer 1200kg with brakes equipt.
Performance:
It was pretty peaceful. The cat hull provides a very soft, steady ride that's more akin to a much larger boat.
Under way the Yamaha 60hp four-stroke gives you a comfortable ride. It has an inbuilt fuel tank.
Equipt with live bait tank, fitted with back cutting board with rod holders equipt around the whole boat, there is no where short to store your rod.
73 Litre eskit fitted with cussion seat for the skipper to sit on whilst driving.
Very comfortable to ride and fish in. Easy to maintain and clean.
Come with life jackets, Paddle, 2 way Radio, Fish Finder and other extras.
The boat has only been used for 75 hours and is in excellent condition.
